Mistreated by the economic crisis, Schneider Electric wants to downsize in France, which will not be without impact on employment … As part of a reorganization of production in its branch dedicated to medium voltage, the specialist equipment for electrical energy wants to close two sites where 160 people work. The group “presented the social partners with a project to reorganize the production part of the medium voltage electrical distribution activity,” a Schneider spokesperson told hooly News.

These factories each employ 80 people. According to the unions, however, around 400 jobs in total will be affected by the reorganization of the branch. “We plan to provide strong social support for this industrial transformation, we will at least propose a reclassification project to each of the employees concerned,” detailed the group spokesperson.

We are afraid
