Good news confirmed for unemployed people at the end of their studies

New boost (and not the least) to the unemployed at the end of law. On March 18, Muriel Pénicaud, the Minister of Labor, had already announced on the microphone of hooly-news.com that for the unemployed who found themselves out of law in March, their compensation would be extended by one month, that is to say for the month of April. It’s now set in stone. In one of its three ordinances presented to the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, March 25, the Ministry of Labor even provides that “the period during which the allowance is granted may be extended exceptionally”.

But to know the exact duration, we will have to wait. “The duration of this extension will be fixed by decree of the minister responsible for employment, in order to be adapted to the health situation and its consequences if necessary”, can be read in the order. Understand: the duration of extension of rights will undoubtedly be the same as that of confinement. It remains to be seen how long it will last exactly, but probably more than a month. “Obviously, the idea is to extend the rights every month. If the confinement lasts beyond the month of April, their rights will be extended again in May, for example, “said the entourage of Muriel Pénicaud on Tuesday 24 March.

Note that the text relates more precisely to beneficiaries of return to work benefits (ARE), specific solidarity benefits (ASS) and insurance benefits due by certain public employers who have exhausted their rights “from 12 March 2020 and at the latest until July 31, 2020 ”, as specified in the ordinance. What to give (perhaps) an idea of the duration of this extension of rights …

Please note, however, to benefit from this extension of the payment of compensation during the confinement period, jobseekers at the end of the entitlement must update themselves “from Saturday March 28 until Wednesday
